Geary painted my house in "cottage" colors (dark tones) almost two years ago. (Used to be a "white" trimmed house, old style.) The work has held up well and I'm completely satisfied with the job. He did interior work too. The work was completed quickly, efficiently, and on time. After 10 years, my house looked like most of the houses in my subdivision; 10 years old. The outdated color on the hardiplank was fading and the trim was chipped and cracked. I had rotting wood around my chimney, gaps in the hardiplank seams, and gutters that had turned from their original color (white, I think) into a blasé grayish color. It was time for paint! Taking care of an investment as important as my home is a matter I felt should be taken seriously. I knew I needed to entrust the job of repainting my home to a company with a great reputation and track record. Benchmark Painting came highly recommended to me through several of my colleagues. I called Geary Jaco, the owner, who came to my house personally to provide me with an estimate. I received more that that however. He also gave me a brief, but very informative education on painting; colors, types of paint, quality and even great color suggestions. After receiving a very fair price, it was only a couple days later that the Benchmark Painting crew began the process of preparing my home for paint. Benchmark Painting’s crew was very thorough getting my house prepared for paint. They pressure washed first to ensure a clean painting surface. That was followed by caulking the windows and all the gaps in the hardiplank that had developed over the years and they replaced rotting wood on my chimney. They began the trim work later that day; meticulously painting each window and door with artist-like precision. They painted my windows and garage door making them look brand new. The trim painting was followed by spraying the rest of the house, which was done perfectly. During the whole process, great care was taken to make sure that our landscaping and yard furniture was not damaged in any way. I fully expected my new friends at Benchmark to be at my home throughout the week. But by the end of the second day, the Benchmark crew was packing up their ladders and heading home themselves- and my house looked like new."
